Brave on Linux has been showing the wrong location in Google Maps for a while. The same machine booted into Windows shows the correct location in all browsers. On Linux, Chromium, Edge, Opera, and Firefox display the correct location. Only Brave fails.
I have tried basic troubleshooting steps:
- Cleared site data and cache
- Disabled all extensions
- Used private window
- Reset all settings
- Reinstalled Brave
- Verified no VPN or proxy is running
- Confirmed location permissions are enabled
- Checked geolocation via IP in other browsers
This issue persists with no clear fix despite multiple forum posts over time. It appears isolated to Brave on Linux.
