Google Calendar/Gmail – buttons not clickable (macOS)

Description of the issue:
Certain UI elements on Google Calendar and Gmail are intermittently unclickable. On Google Calendar, the navigation arrows don’t respond to clicks. On Gmail, the search bar is unclickable. Refreshing the page multiple times (sometimes 4–5x) eventually makes them work again.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Open calendar.google.com or mail.google.com in Brave
  2. Try clicking the navigation arrows (Calendar) or search bar (Gmail)
  3. Elements are visible but unresponsive – no console output on click
  4. Refreshing the page multiple times eventually restores functionality

Expected result:
Buttons and interactive elements should be clickable on first page load.

Brave Version: Brave 1.89.137

Additional Information:

  • Issue persists in Incognito mode
  • Issue persists with all extensions disabled
  • Issue persists with Shields disabled for the affected sites
  • Full uninstall + reinstall did not help (including removing ~/Library/Application Support/BraveSoftware)
  • Same Google account works perfectly in Safari with no issues
  • Tried reinstalling
