Description of the issue:
Hello! When using the PureVPN Proxy addon, I am sadly getting DNS-leaks. I am actually getting around 6 connections from my real IP and then one from the proxy (Checked on https://browserleaks.com/dns).
I’ve tried to check if the same problem occurs with other browsers for me, but that isn’t the case.
Firefox: No DNS-leaks
Librewolf: No DNS-leaks
Vivaldi: No DNS-leaks
So to me it appears to be a problem with Brave, as I don’t even get DNS leaks with Vivaldi, which is also Chromium based. I’m getting the problem on Brave even on newly created profiles which do not have any other addon installed.
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Download the PureVPN addon
- Connect to any country
- Get DNS leaks
Expected result:
A proxy experience without DNS leaks.

v1.80.125
