Figured I might as well post this in advance in case anyone runs into this one. I tagged Android as I experienced it on Android, but also, the “fix” is rather Android specific.
The issue: When scrolling in Brave, if you happen to be like me and “fling” the scroll, after 2 or so, it gets stuck and just starts scrolling on its own, over and over again by itself.
The fix: It’s the browser cache itself. Likely you can just delete the browsing data for YouTube, but I believe you’ll get signed out. So the best possible fix? Go to the App Info page for Brave in Android, “Storage & cache”, then tap “Clear cache” (not storage, or you reset the browser back to factory defaults and lose everything).
As you see in the video, this fixes the issue right away. So yea, if you have the issue seen in the video where it just starts going in an infinite scroll without touching, this is the fix it seems.
(Video starts by showing just how much it “scrolled” on it’s own as I scroll up and you can see the thin sliver of a scroll bar on the right, that dang much, lol, then I close it, and reopen YouTube so you see it just chug away loading video after video, then I go and proceed to “fix” it. Before opening App Info I accidentally tapped brave, there’s no need to open it for no reason, I forgot to “hold” on the icon at first).
