Files Not Downloading to Last Used Location

As the title says, when prompted to download files, my previous path in which I successfully download a file (Example: D:\Pictures and Gifs), is not the path that Brave prompts anymore. It now goes straight to the preset download location, C:\Users\WhosThatGuy\Downloads. Of course, I can change that preset location to whatever I please, but that is not what I want, nor am I used to.

Producing the problem:

  1. Download file from website A
  2. Brave prompts to save file in C:\Users\WhosThatGuy\Downloads
  3. I change the location to the path I desire (for example D:\Pictures\Gifs)
  4. Download another file from website A

I expect Brave to remember the last accessed save path, but it defaults back to the preset download location.

I am positive this was not the case before the most recent update.
