I would like to report several issues and give feedback about Brave on Android, mainly related to the download manager and usability.- Download manager is unreliable
Downloads frequently stop randomly without any clear reason. This happens even after completely disabling battery optimization and background restrictions for Brave. The problem persists and makes it very difficult to download large files. - Broken download notifications
The download notification is bugged. Sometimes it disappears, does not show correct progress, or does not allow resuming the download, which causes confusion and failed downloads. - Lack of customization
Brave on Android needs more customization options, such as:
Better handling of saved tabs and logged-in sessions after restarting the browser
More useful and customizable shortcuts
General UI and behavior customization similar to other browsers - Comparison with Firefox
Firefox for Android manages downloads much better: downloads are stable, notifications work correctly, and resuming downloads is reliable. Brave could greatly improve the user experience by adopting a similar approach.

The download manager should be stable, allow downloads to continue in the background, and support pausing and resuming without errors.
Download notifications should always work correctly, show accurate progress, remain visible until completion, and provide reliable controls. The notification design should be clearer and more user-friendly, not simply identical to Chrome’s notification.
Brave should offer better customization options so users do not need to rely on system-level workarounds just to make basic features like downloads function properly.
Additionally, Brave for Android should support extensions, similar to the desktop version, so users can add extra functionality and fully customize their browsing experience on mobile.**
