I am requesting a dedicated keyboard shortcut to immediately focus the cursor on the Brave Search widget located in the center of the New Tab Page (Dashboard).
While Ctrl + L works perfectly for the address bar, there is no direct way to focus the on-page search box without using a mouse or pressing Tab multiple times (which cycles through the sidebar and top sites first). For keyboard-centric users, this creates a friction point in an otherwise fast browser.
Proposed Solution: Introduce a shortcut (for example, the / key) that specifically targets the search widget when a New Tab is active. This would allow users to start typing in the center of the screen instantly.
Why this matters:
