Custom icons in Notion pages not working

Description of the issue:
When adding custom icons in Notion pages by pasting link to an image, the place where the icon should be is blank. However, the icon is there, as evidenced by opening the page in another browser. It suddenly started happening, used to work as expected until a few days ago, nothing has been changed in my system.

How can this issue be reproduced?

1. Go to a page in Notion
2. Click ‘Add Icon’ next to the page title
3. Go to ‘Custom’
4. ‘Paste a link to an image’ previously copied from a website
5. Icon looks empty
6. Open the same page in another browser. The icon has been added. Go back in Brave, the icon is blank
