Clicking links stopped working

Brave 1.82.170 (Official Build) (arm64)

Mac M1 Mini 16GB. Tahoe 26.0

I was browsing macrumors.com forums and suddenly clicking on a link did nothing. The mouse still worked. I could right click a link and select open in new tab, etc. But clicking on the link did nothing. Also, the pointer cursor did not change to a hand cursor when I hovered over a link. Restarted Brave and everything was fine again.

A similar thing happened on eBay, where hovering over a link did not change mouse cursor to a hand. However, clicking still activated the link.

I do not have any extensions that modify the CSS or JS of web pages or modify them some other ways. No ad blocker etc except the built in one by Brave.

I wonder if this is a Tahoe specific issue. I haven’t upgraded yet so I can’t test but I’ll ask the macOS team. If you open a Guest profile window (Menu --> More tools --> Guest profile) and visit those sites there, do links open as expected when clicked?

No. But since it happens randomly and I haven’t been able to replicate it is hard to say what is happening.
