Cant find a button the close image after open in the Brave Search Engine

For example using this image as a example once you have open this that you cant close it again beucase there is no X button to exit like in crome

Like For chrome we have an option to close the image once opened

we so we need a option to close images once open in Brave Browser Image section please.

@PrivateGamer,
Currently checking right now but this might be a design choice rather than a bug. The design choice being to always have the “preview pane” open on the right side of the Images page.

I personally agree with you and think it should be closable so that the images span the entire page until an image is clicked. I’ve asked the Search team for clarification on this.

Yea thanks for view this.

That there is no reason not to give an option to close it as it would not disturb anyone with a X button. Like there is only benefit but with no Con.

PS the review panel block half the page which would be annoying when you try to view a lot of content.

Thanks have a great day

Any update on this just wondering
thanks.

@PrivateGamer I’m pretty sure it’s an intended design choice. From the very moment you load images it opens something on the right and doesn’t let you close. It stays as a preview of either the first result or whatever you last clicked on. This is just how Brave Search decided to do things. No way of changing it really. About the most you can do is completely block the element but then that part stays blank and unusable, like below:

So would you prefer that or have your preview available?

yes i know but why it is not a option though it wont harm anyone. That it would only help. That all other browser does this.

also anther Brower support also aggress upon the idea too. So it is not just me.

Sorry to offend you this is just my idea

@PrivateGamer based on your reply, it seems you perceived my comment the wrong way somehow. All I was doing is getting back to you. As Mattches mentioned, he believed it to be by choice but then also said he would ask the team for clarification.

My reply was a confirmation that it is that way by design and it was not a bug. In speaking about how we could block that element I was both confirming the design but also providing you an option of making the big picture go away if it was a nuisance to you, even though it may not be an ideal solution.

Hopefully, the feedback you and others have shared will prompt the team to consider more customization options for the preview pane in the future.

Ok thanks for the reply i am sorry to offend you sir. my apologies sorry for my bad English.
