I have the same exact problem, and I’m also using Android 12.

I have made a mockup of how it looked before and after the latest update.

First, please ensure you’re using the latest build of the browser, which is v1.83.112 at this time.

On my end, I still see the Delete browsing data option appear at the top of the History page. Note that you can still find this option in Settings --> Brave Shields & Privacy --> Delete browsing data.

In the meantime I will confirm with the Android team that we haven’t made any changes to this menu.

I’m experiencing the same issue, and I’m also using Android 12.

The strange part is that on my Motorola phone, the ā€˜Delete browsing data’ option is still available, but on my Lenovo tablet, it has been replaced by a search bar. I’m using the latest Android 12 update and Brave release, 1.83.112, on both devices.

I can still delete browsing history by navigating to Settings → Brave Shields & Privacy → Delete browsing data, but it’s inconvenient compared to just clicking History → Delete browsing data.

Is this an Android 12 related issue? Because I also have this problem with my Android 12 units. Using the latest Brave update 1.83.119, Chromium 141.0.7390.108 that was released just hours ago.

My units with newer Android version does not have this problem.

This issue appears to be from an upstream change made in the Chromium engine in the following commit:

I’ve asked the Android team to see if this is something we can patch.
