Cannot view Youtube I just see a black screen

Description of the issue: when I try to view Youtube I can only see a black screen

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. I have tried turning of “hardware acceration” 2. clearing cache

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!): its just a black screen

Expected result:

Reproduces how often: this has only started happening today

Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):Mac OS apple M1 running Ventura 13.7.8 Brave 1.87.192 (official Build ) arm 64

Additional Information:I have the tampermonkey extention

Please could I have some advice as what to do to resolve this . it only started happening today. If there are resources to deal with this issue could you let me know

@MeagreNiche can you please try launching a Guest profile window (Menu --> More tools --> Guest profile), close your original profile window, then visit Youtube in the guest profile and see if the site loads as expected there?

The guest profile allows me to view videos in you tube. I couldn’t log into my YouTube account but that is another issue. Thank you for your advice

@MeagreNiche I would recommend you ensure you’ve tried fully deleting browsing data for youtube.com specifically in your main profile and then test again in. Just visit youtube, click the “tune” icon to the left of the URL, then Site settings --> Delete data. Refresh the page and then test again.
