You are making too many requests too quickly. Please slow down and try again in a few seconds. Please do NOT screenshot this page as it has your IP address listed below.

  4. Another symptom is that it will open the page and I can observe it rapidly opening the page repeatedly until I stop it.

“too many requests” ← trouble loading

You might monitor / study the Brave Browser Developer Tools > Network window.

Using Developer Tools

Opening the Developer Tools window

MacOS users, key combination: Option + Command + "i" ("eye", no quotes)

Windows OS / Linux OS users, key combination:

Control + Shift + "i" ("eye", no quotes) gets the Developer Tools > Network tab window

Control + Shift + "j" ("jay", no quotes) gets the Developer Tools > Console tab window

Or, use the F12 key ← also works for MacOS users.

On the first occasion of using Developer Tools, the Developer Tools “window” is usually a part of (contained within) its associated Brave Browser window . . . but you can make the Developer Tools window, a standalone window (though keeping its association with the Brave Browser window). I recommend that you do so:

In the upper right-hand corner of the Developer Tools window, there is an “Organizer” 3-vertical-dots button - click on that. The result should be a pop-up:

Notice the tiny blue icon that is first (left to right) among 4 that are to the right of “Dock side”. Click on that icon. The Developer Tools window will become a standalone window.

How to use Developer Tools:

Developer Tools > Network:

Also try, while Brave Browser is at ‘gab.com’, click the Site-Specific Brave Browser [lion] icon near the right end of the browser’s URL address field, and relax the Fingerprinting setting.

I attempted to run the Dev tools but the instructions all appear to be MAC OS related and I’m running Win 11. I am able to open the debugging window in Brave by pressing F12. When I shut off the feature “Block Fingerprinting” the symptoms went away.

Thank you for noticing what I have failed to: Some of the Developer Tools guidance links that once-upon-a-time, worked, are now KAPUT.

In addition to, for some unknown reason, Brave Support has changed the key combination for Windows OS / Linux OS users opening Brave Browser’s Developer Tools, from:

Control + Shift + "i" ("eye", no quotes) to
Control + Shift + "j" ("jay", no quotes) ?

But wait, I am wrong again, because they are trying to do 2 things at once?

Control + Shift + "i" ("eye", no quotes) gets the Developer Tools > Network tab window

Control + Shift + "j" ("jay", no quotes) gets the Developer Tools > Console tab window

And, F12 key works for Windows OS, Linux OS, MacOS.

Yet, you prevailed by way of the Site-Specific Brave Browser [lion] icon.

Thank you.
