Browser appears to randomly refresh itself while I’m watching YouTube videos

,

Description of the issue:

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary):

Pull up a YouTube video (one that’s at least 30+ minutes, just to be sure) and hit play. Wait for a sudden unexpected browser page fresh to take place, which will start the entire video over from the beginning

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):

Browser appears to randomly refresh itself at some point(s) during playback, causing the video to also restart over from the beginning. This is rather frustrating to always have to go back and find my place in the video duration that I was at prior to the random reset. This has been an issue for probably a month or two and I have no idea what it is or what’s causing it. I’ve tried having my Portrait Orientation Lock both enabled and disabled, and the issue still occurs. It occurs also regardless of whether or not I’m using picture-in-picture, or the normal web page (non-fullscreen) etc. I’ve tried to understand why this is happening for a while and can’t get to the bottom of it. I’ve only noticed this on mobile, and again, more of a recent issue that started for me in the last few months at some point. Today is just the day I’ve decided to write in and maybe dig for answers.

On another note, I’d love to extend a huge thank you for improving some other things in the iOS lately too that I really really appreciate. Certain changes improving UI scaling especially when switching between accounts on youtube is very very nice for me. I know there were some other subtle things too, but can’t remember them at the moment, but anyway, thank you so much!

Expected result:

Video playing fully uninterrupted by unexpected page reset

Reproduces how often:

Larely, it seems like every time for me.
