Hi since yesterday videos get stuck in mobile browser and no longer play with YT. I tried just about everything to fix this issue, full system reset the iPad, delete and reinstall the brave app, I asked LEO AI and tried everything suggested, switch to incognito mode, change the privacy settings etc.
Anyone else having this issue or is there an update coming soon for mobile?
I don’t have any issues with the desktop version of Brave.

I’m experiencing the same issue too. I’m on IpadOS 26, I have to refresh the page several times to get YouTube videos to play in desktop mode. Sometime refreshing doesn’t even work, I’m on brave version 1.82.1
Same here — I started seeing the exact same problem on iPad (Brave 1.82.1, iPadOS 17.6). YouTube videos either freeze on load or just don’t start playing until I refresh a few times.
It looks like something changed recently on YouTube’s end — possibly related to how it handles autoplay or ad scripts in Brave’s shields. Desktop Brave works fine for me too, so it’s probably a mobile-specific issue.
For now, temporarily disabling Brave Shields for YouTube seems to make videos play normally (not ideal, but works as a workaround). Hopefully the next Brave update patches this soon.
I just experienced this same issue (videos going blank, comments visible but refreshing doesn’t start the video, turning shields off does nothing) and I updated brave (Android mobile browser) in case that fixed it. Nope.
Edit: and now I just tried again and YouTube seems to be working again? Why? I have no clue. Will update if it changes again.
