I want to start by saying thank you. For about six months, I relied heavily on Brave’s AI summary feature — especially when it came to political content. As someone who leans right, I found the AI to be incredibly fair and accurate. When it summarized left-leaning news, it captured the message exactly as intended. And when it summarized right-leaning news, it did the same — without bias, without watering things down, and without making me feel like it was trying to “balance” the truth.
You built Brave because people like me were tired of mainstream platforms pushing narratives, filtering facts, or burying perspectives they didn’t agree with. Your AI was different. It gave me the summary of the article — not the platform’s opinion of the article. That made all the difference. I used to copy and paste those summaries and share them with friends, because I trusted them. You were giving people facts, not filters.
Now it feels like something’s changed. The summaries don’t hit the same. They’re less confident, less clear, and sometimes they miss the point entirely. I’m back scrolling through videos and pages just to find the info I used to get in seconds. It’s frustrating, and honestly, it’s heartbreaking.
I understand you’re hearing from all sides. But please don’t lose what made Brave great in the first place: truth, transparency, and trust. I hope you’ll consider restoring the AI to how it was — or at least offer an option for users like me who want accurate, unfiltered summaries, regardless of political leaning.
