I opened the Brave browser. I noticed that my extensions were gone and my theme had changed. When I went to settings to check synchronization, I encountered the warning in the first image: “Brave reset your settings to protect you” ???. I’ve encountered this issue before, but I never figured out the cause. I thought it was my fault, but it turns out Brave has been doing this all along. Every time, I have to rejoin the sync and log back into all my accounts. Is there no solution to this? Brave, stop protecting me. Please help. My extensions are in the second image.
What if I only had one device and couldn’t access the chain again when Brave deleted the synchronization to protect me? What a ridiculous feature, Brave.
I encountered this same thing recently. After a quick search, yeah it’s apparently some protection thing which runs each time the browser opens to check for anything changed & then reverts it back. Admittedly a good thing, didn’t realise, so thx Brave. For it to happen with limited info & no knowledge of it, then to play catch up piecing it all together and, yes logging back in to everything. Which still doesn’t make sense to me.
I’m asking for a little more info & transparency pls, to understand what’s going on.
What I’d like to know is; what, why, when, who etc more of those details pls. It feels like you’ve helped me, great thx, but I’m lost & bewildered here
Any help, info & improvements would be appreciated from anyone or the Brave team?
