Brave Miniplayer causes screen glitches

Description of the issue: When the effect is created, all text and graphics on the screen repeat downwards infinitely
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Have VS Code installed (not sure if this is necessary)

  2. Play a YouTube video like this one.

  3. Click on the Music icon in the toolbar

  4. Click on the picture in picture button

  5. Open VS Code

  6. Position it so that the bottom of the picture in picture window lines up with the bottom toolbar of VS Code

  7. Play the video (1:14 seems to work best for me)

  8. Position your mouse at the bottom of the window so it looks like you are about to expand the window downwards

  9. Wiggle your mouse a bit

  10. Experience the chaos (It looks like the miniplayer takes 5 seconds to draw each frame, and all of the text on the screen is streched to the bottom of the screen. Even the windows taskbar is effected)

Expected result: None of this happening

Brave Version( check About Brave): v1.85.118 (Chromium 143.0.7499.169**)**

Additional Information: Opening Screen Snip to screen record stops the effect from taking place

So, I’m not entirely sure I did this right, but near the end the mini player did absolutely freeze up, you can tell as the controls got stuck mid-fade. No graphical stretching however.

(I almost gave up, it took almost a minute for something to happen.)

But perhaps the most unique thing that happened was after the screenrecording, Brave had an “out of miniplayer” experience, and suddenly the video was in the main window, yet the miniplayer was there on a frozen frame, yet the controls became unfrozen, and was controlling the main window instead. That behavior only “clicked” when OBS stopped screen recording.

(Just tried to reproduce in Chromium, couldn’t get it to do it again.)

What I did to achieve the stretching was to full-screen vs code, then position the miniplayer just above the part on your screen where it says finish setup (bottom corner) with just a small gap. The stretching would happen if the mouse repeatedly went from one of the buttons on the bottom bar to the vs code scrollbar to the miniplayer. Happy that someone else besides me experienced glitches.

P.S. Cant be on my machine for a few days so I cant test anything else out.
