Brave logs me out if my computer sleeps for a long time, and "forgets" me

Description of the issue:
If my computer goes to “sleep” mode for a while, it seems my accounts are logged out and forgotten, for example I have to redo 2FA often for Google or other services. On my phone and on my other PC with Linux, I do not have this issue. It’s only on my laptop with Windows 11 that I have this issue.
How can this issue be reproduced?

1.Put my computer to sleep for an extended period (not certain exactly how long)

Expected result:
Logs out of websites
Brave Version( check About Brave):
v1.80.120
Additional Information:
Brave does not log me out when I close Brave. If I close it and reopen, it remembers me.

Always, for Windows OS 11? Or, after some recent Windows updates? Sometimes a recent update may be the cause.

Otherwise, searching online, tips for adjusting Power and Sleep/Hibernate settings . . . as in: Do not let the computer Sleep/Hibernate ← instead, OK display screensaver/sleep.

A) Do not ever use Private Browsing
B) Do not ever use a Private Window
C) Do not ever use Tor with a Private Window

Sometimes BB must not be the computing device’s default Internet browser - for the duration of making the settings changes.

‘Continue where you left off’ only applies to applications that are fully “Quit”. In Windows, hitting the x button to “close” the browser effectively does this.

I would disable the ‘Continue where you left off’ setting, and disable the ‘Forget me when I close this site’ setting; and, in a BB New Window, go to the “On exit” tab at brave://settings/clearBrowserData ← make sure that you are not clearing BB settings “On exit”.

Restart the computer. When running BB again, then enable the Continue where you left off setting.

How to Back Up Passwords that are stored by Brave Browser

Scrolling down the webpage at:

https://support.brave.com/hc/en-us/articles/360018185951-How-do-I-use-the-built-in-password-manager

A note states:

Export Passwords - Selecting Download file will export all credentials you’ve saved in your browser as a .CSV file onto your system. Note that anyone who has access to your system will be able to open and view this file, so it is recommended that you delete this file once you’ve used the file for its intended purpose.”

Tips on how to encrypt that .CSV file:

Be sure to safely store a copy of that CSV file on an external drive.

How to back up your Bookmarks as an HTML file

Two ways to get to the Bookmarks Manager.

One way:

  1. Launch Brave and open the Main menu: newmenuicon.png
  2. Select Bookmarks --> Bookmarks Manager
  3. Open the More options menu at the top right
  4. Select Export and choose where you want to store the exported file.

Another way:

  1. In a new Brave Browser window, go to: brave://bookmarks
  2. Locate the “Organize” (vertically-arrayed 3-dot) menu button in the upper-right area of the window; click on that
  3. You should get a pop-up menu, in which you click on the “Export bookmarks” selection and choose where you want to store the exported file.

The exported file name: “bookmarks.html”

Be sure to safely store a copy of that HTML file on an external drive.

After the initial installation and setup of Brave Browser (“BB”) for Windows OS users, the original BB user profile data is within the Default folder:

  • C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Local\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\User Data\Default

You should verify that location; in a BB New Window, go to brave://version and scroll down to Profile Path.

Now, without BB running, and before doing anything else, make a backup of the User Data folder . . . placing the backup somewhere that is safe and NOT within any BB installation path.

The entire time I’ve been on Windows 11. It also happens when I restart my computer.

it happened to me too right now. how to repair?
