Brave keeps opening new tabs when launching app

You haven’t confirmed this: Settings > Brave Shields & privacy > Shred > Never?

Since it’s Samsung, it might be related to this bug which occurs after opening web links from external apps, using picture-in-picture mode:

I believe this all is likely to do with this issue here: While I understand that they are not the same issue (or at least not presenting the same) I think the “multiple instances” issue is why you get a different group of tabs in some cases and why that GH page continues to appear when you open links from Twitter.
