Brave iOS crashes instantly when tapping the bottom-right three dots menu

Description of the issue:
Brave crashes immediately every single time I tap the three dots menu button in the bottom-right corner. The app closes and returns to the home screen. This happens consistently, even on a fresh install.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Open Brave Browser on iPhone.
  2. Load any webpage or just the new tab page.
  3. Tap the three dots button (⋯) in the bottom-right corner.
  4. App crashes instantly.

Expected result:
The menu should open normally without crashing.

Brave Version (as displayed on App Store as of December 31, 2025):
1.85

Mobile Device details:

  • Device: iPhone 12 Pro Max
  • iOS version: 18.1
  • Issue persists after multiple full delete + reinstall

Additional Information:

  • Happens 100% of the time, no exceptions.
  • No other apps are crashing.
  • Reinstalling (delete app + restart phone + reinstall) does not fix it.

I am using an iPhone 14, iOS 18.7.1, Brave Browser v1.85 (116), Private Browsing Only mode. No problem with the 3-dot (…) button - access to Brave Browser Settings - in the bottom-right corner.

Brave Support will probably wonder why you are still using an older version (18.1) of iOS?
