iOS instant crash after 1.80 update

After last update (1.80) Brave app instantly crashes if I’m launching it. Looks like the system or the app kills its process. I cannot even send crash report, because crash popup disappears too and when I’m trying to relaunch the app it won’t even shows the popup

This can be reproduced by installing fresh (1.80) update on iOS device running 18.6 beta 2 (22G5064d) and 1.79 version of the browser

My current Brave Version is 1.80

I’m running iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 18.6 beta 2

Please help!

UPD 1: if I’m running app from your website top plate (or whatever advertising to install Brave) or from AppStore “Open” link it’s working like nothing happened

UPD 2: after I close the app/unload it from phone’s RAM the trouble continues

UPD 3: app works ok after deinstallation from device

Do you have any recent crashes available for your device in the Analytics section?

Go to Settings on your device (not on Brave, but on your iPhone or iPad)

Go to Analytics & Improvements

Click on Analytics Data

In the search bar on top, look for Client, this will be Brave.

You will be looking for something that looks like Client-2023-15-XXXXXX.ips

Same here today - I have version 1.80 of Brave - I updated the iOS last night.

And my syncing between my PC & Iphone have also stopped working. Not happy.

I MAY have had 1 too many tabs open on the phone - can that be the cause?

HOW DO I FIX IT?

I have mine up - I’m not the original poster, but have same issue.
So what do we do once we have the logs up?

@felinelover You have to search for Client–not Brave in this case–for technical reasons.

I think it was working for me earlier today. I opened another tab and it crashed. I probably have over 200 tabs open. Baaaaaaad habit.

Crashing non stop, have restart or keep opening it multiple times to restore tabs to work, otherwise insta crashing on iOS 26 dev beta 2 brave version 1.80

I have the same problem.
iPhone 15 pro max with iOS 18.5 and brave 1.80 updated one day ago.

There is a vpn that is attached to it have you tried to set it up. It has a free trial that you’ll be able to access that can be able to help you when ever you’re browsing on this site.
