Brave doesn't turn on automatically when I start-up my computer

I recently was introduced to Brave and liked what I read that it does. After downloading it on my Mac laptop, I made it my default browser to replace Chrome. Now, when I start-up my computer for the day, Chrome turns on while Brave doesn’t as evidenced by the dock at the bottom of my home page (Chrome has a dot under it while Brave doesn’t). What else do I need to do to make Brave start-up automatically and for Chrome not to show-up at all? I don’t want to have to do these two things manually each time I turn-on my computer. Thanks!
