Brave does not load internal websites while connected to VPN

Description of the issue: I use a VPN (Tailscale) to tunnel into my home network so I can access my local apps while outside of my home. When I’m external, I cannot connect to my local apps but it works fine on Chrome. Is this a bug or is there a setting that should be configured?

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Leave the home so I’m not on LAN

  2. Enable Tailscale VPN

  3. Try to access my internal apps

Expected result: To be able to access my internal apps when external from my LAN while on VPN like I can with Chrome.

Brave Version( check About Brave): Brave 1.83.120, Chromium 141.0.7390.122
