Same issue, just started recently but noticed for me it’s only with certain letters typed into search (“x” for example immediately crashes the browser)

I am also experiencing this issue for a few days now. I can use Brave, open links, but as soon as I type a single letter in the search bar it crashes.

Brave is consistently crashing whenever I try to search anything. It’s frustrating and there doesn’t seem to be an answer in this thread.

I use an iPhone 13, I’ve tried refreshing without success. I’m about ready to shut it down and use a different search engine.

I’m also having this issue.

Each time I try to type something in the “search or enter address” bar , Brave crashes.

Disabling “Show Browser suggestions” is temporarily letting my type addresses without crashing but I lose the autocomplete function

I am also encountering the crash issue. As soon as I type a letter in the search bar the browser crashes. This started sometime in the last few days. I have not experimented with a variety of letters.

I’m using iOS 18.6.2 on a 3rd generation iPad Air.

I was able to copy/paste the verification web page address for this community board into the search bar. I’m currently using Brave to type these words.

I have closed and reopened Brave with no change.

I have shut down and rebooted my iPad—no change.

After I hit ‘reply’ I’m going to uninstall Brave and reinstall it. I’ll report my results here.

Uninstall/reinstall seems to have fixed the issue.

I had to search for this board and log in. I then opened another tab and tapped several different letters into the search bar. No crashes.

Same problem here, iOS 26.0.1 and brave version 171. Disabling “Show Browser Suggestions” does fix the issue.

Same issues for me , Linux Mint 22.2 and Brave 1.83.112 (Officiel version) (64-bit)
