Brave 151.1.93.129—macOS 15.7.7/15.7.8 immediate crash

Description of the issue: Brave 151.1.93.129 (latest, after update) (and previous, maybe) crash immediately on attempt to open. On macOS 15.7.8 (24G824)

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Open Brave
  2. Observe crash
  3. Read macOS crash report

Expected result: Brave runs

Brave Version( check About Brave): 151.1.93.129

Additional Information: I know nothing. I’m sending the crash reports to Apple.

I moved my whole profile out and it loads. I haven’t done further minimization.

I had manually enabled, sideloaded a few Manifest V2 (MV2) extensions, especially BroTab. It seemed like support came back for a week, and I haven’t checked the changelog to attempt to confirm the suspicion—hasn’t seemed worthwhile since it’s in Brave is fast following Chromium and only keeping support for a few MV2 extensions.

I’m glad too that Violentmonkey extension shipped their MV3 branch, and I briefly mistook that for Brave support for the extension.
