Brave 1.82.166 snap fails to start

Description of the issue:

The new snap build (1.82.166) of the Brave browser was released on Sep 10, but fails to start up on Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS, presumably due to a problem with Wayland. Below the error message from the terminal. I have reverted back to the previous stable version, i.e. 1.81. 137. I hope the problem will soon be solved.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Install snap 1.82.166 n Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS

  2. Open Terminal and start Brave by typing ‘brave’

  3. One then gets the following message:

Expected result: Revert to previous version or solve the problem.

Brave Version( check About Brave): 1.82.166
