I’ve been using Leo in Brave a lot for page summaries and question suggestions, but the results leave me disappointed. The summaries usually come out way too short, often skipping over the important details. On top of that, when I try to ask Leo follow-up questions tied to the article, it either loses track of the context or gives answers that don’t really fit.
Meanwhile, I’ve also been trying out Perplexity’s summarizer inside their Comet browser, and the contrast is huge. Perplexity manages to break things down in a detailed way, highlight the main points, and keep the context intact for further questions. It actually helps me retain the key takeaways from what I read.
Honestly, Perplexity feels miles ahead here. I’d love to see Brave put some serious upgrades into Leo’s summarization features, because right now it feels like the tool isn’t living up to its potential.
