Description of the issue: Upon opening browser to the dashboard, it crashes.
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Update to AMD driver version 32.0.23027.2005 for the 9060XT.

  2. Launch brave dashboard with any wallpaper

  3. Crash

Expected result:

Brave Version( check About Brave): Brave is up to date

Brave 1.90.21 (Official Build) nightly (64-bit)

Chromium: 146.0.7680.71

Additional Information: Recently I had an automatic driver update and my browser randomly started just crashing upon loading. Tried to work my way around it by launching the browser through run “ “C:\Program Files\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser-Nightly\Application\brave.exe” --force-first-run “ thereafter I set the “New tab page shows” setting to blank page. Launching it in any other mode instantly crashes the browser

I have the same driver, and Brave launches to the NTP Dashboard with a wallpaper set.

I don’t believe the issue to actually be related to the GPU.

Just to check however, if you disable “Use graphics acceleration” under brave://settings/system, and relaunch, does Brave work? If not, then I very much don’t believe it to be the GPU, but rather something might be wrong with the dashboard’s state itself.

Thank you for the fast reply. It crashes with and without graphics acceleration. The dashboard is whatever the default is set to as I have not yet been able to change anything. Are you on the nightly version btw?

Actually no, Stable, I just missed that part in your post.

Maybe someone with Nightly, GPU and driver combo can check? Though, if it’s crashing without acceleration, it really may not actually be the driver then.
