Adding "clickable timestamps" to YouTube video summaries

Hey there! :waving_hand:

I just upgraded to Brave Premium (to get the advanced AI features and models).

Here’s my prompt for summarizing YouTube videos:

Carefully analyze and then thoughtfully summarize this video (using the transcript) with the most important takeaways and action items.

Use clear sectioning (with relevant emojis) as well as bullet points.

Add timestamps linking back to each main part of the video.

Include key quotables in each section.

Add your own insights at the very end (clearly labeled).

This prompt works great with the AI chats in the Dia and Edge browsers, and they are both able to do “clickable timestamps” that link right back to the exact moment in the video.

However, Brave Leo doesn’t appear to be able to do this (at least not with Claude Sonnet 4, which is my default model).

Would be awesome if something could be tweaked to allow this.

Thanks! :raising_hands:

Ooh I like the idea - I think most of the work might be on the browser dev side so I’m not sure how easy/hard it is, but I’ve opened an issue for it: https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/issues/48460
