I have been using Brave browser for several years without any issues. The last couple of weeks have had a spontaneous issue that is seemingly random. No new software or hardware has been installed before this issue happened. I will open a tab to look at a news article or perhaps look at Amazon website and my monitor without warning suddenly loses the signal. The PC is still o n but the monitor cuts to black. I have to manually reboot and the PC still works fine as long as I use another browser ( Firefox) and the monitor is working fine. So I am certain it is not a hardware issue. In case of a driver corruption I re installed drivers already then rebooted. Still have the issue.
Not sure if this can be deliberately reproduced other than opening my Brave browser. I suspect it has something to do with whatever site is accessing on a particular tab. If I had enough time before my monitor cut out I would go ahead and close out that particular tab but it switches off within like a second or two of loading the browser.
Expected result: Typically whenever opening Brave now my signal from PC to monitor suddenly cut off with the PC continuing to run. There was even a point where I had a video playing and I could still hear the sound from the video while monitor remained off.
Brave Version( check About Brave): Brave is not open long enough to see the version for sure but I had tried to fix it by installing the latest version in case it was because the version was out of date or had corrupted. BRV010 is on the file name for the Brave Browser setup file installation file. Downloaded September 9 2025
