Description of the issue:
When debugging a website using the dev tools, the Accessibility panel always shows blank content. However, this does not happen on other Chromium-based browsers on MacOS, such as Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Go to any website, for example https://brave.com/
- Right click on any part of the page and choose “Inspect”.
- The, once the Dev tools is opened, and inside the Elements tab, go to the sub-row of tabs that starts with “Styles”. Look for the “Accessibility” panel and click on it (should be the last)
- Verify that it shows no content, no matter how many times you open or close the panel.
Expected result:
The expected result was for the tab to be filled with info from the Accessibility Tree, as well as Aria Attributes.
Brave Version( check About Brave):
Version 1.2.43 Chromium: 79.0.3945.130 (Official Build) (64-bit)
(MacOS Catalina 10.15.2)
Additional Information:
Below are screenshots for the same example on different browsers.
Google Chrome
(Version 79.0.3945.130 (Official Build) (64-bit))
Microsoft Edge
(Version 79.0.309.68 (Official build) (64-bit))
There’s also an opened github issue about this, but it hasn’t had any updates since November.
Please fix this, as it is a very important tool for web developers to improve accessibility.
If I can help or contribute in any way, please say so.
