About to give up on Brave and return to Chrome!

Description of the issue: Brave logging me out of one particular website every time I close browser

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):tried everything on google to fix,no luck

Expected result:

Reproduces how often: every time I close Brave browser

try turning off brave shields for that website

Thanks, turned off Brave shields but I still have to log in each time, really frustrating. This is the only website doing this

@Altair68 Can you please share the specific website in question so I can take a look and test on my end? Can you also share the specific OS and Brave version you’re using when you see this issue as was requested in the template?

Let me reach out to @fanboynz – one of our Shields engineers – to take a look as he’s from the area. I tried creating a test account but it keeps throwing an error when I try to create it.

Kiwi here also, just logged into my trademe account (and it stayed on a restart)

Shields should have no affect on the logging in/out here, which extensions are you using?

Hi, wow, well that was it.

There was an extension called Cookie Guardian turned on. Turned it off and now I’m not getting logged out.

But..I did not install any extensions on Brave myself? Just downloaded Brave and used it “straight out of the box”?

I will completely remove this extension if I can.

Weird. But thank you all for your help, greatly appreciated!

All good, thanks for confirming. Less extensions the better, Brave has plenty of privacy protections builtin.
