We love getting feedback from our users and will always aim to better ourselves so that we can better serve our users. That said, please note that rude, vulgar or aggressive language or discussion will not under any circumstances be tolerated.

For simply triaging feedback—for users who don’t use the nightly build and do this through the repo—what is easier for the Brave team: Posting the feedback in the community here, or through the feedback box in Brave Search settings?

The forum obviously the best place for discussion, I only mean the context of what makes the team’s workdays more streamlined—is there a preferred submission option?

First steps :white_check_mark:

  • Results show up for most queries.
  • Visually pleasing.
  • No visible front-end problems.
  • No signs of parsing errors.
  • Bangs to specify data sources.

Basic Fundamentals :question: :no_entry_sign:

  • No Search Operators.
    • No way to exclude/demote hits.
    • No way to exclusively include/promote hits.
  • No “double quotes” functionality.
  • No Positional Significance of words.
    • No way to affect results positively.
  • No Parentheses, no compound queries.

So… When do you plan to start rolling out basic functionality to make it useful?

Brave took it upon itself to say “not in the way you mean” to a search query and when I asked what did I mean? It said it doesn’t know. It was showing bias about race and results. Showing it didn’t understand what words mean or it was just biased towards certain words related to race and searches for education benefits or benefits in general
