Description of the issue: YouTube loading time is broken
How can this issue be reproduced?
Expected result: Video won’t load
Brave Version: v 1.80.124
Additional Information:
I tried removing cookies, webdatas and etc. didn’t help.
Tried reinstalling the browser, also didn’t help.
Only happens with YouTube’s videoplayer. So other platforms (I tested) like: Twitch, TikTok works.
This is an issue most likely due to the adblock that Brave has in it, as that’s a very common issue.
Recently (within last hour or so) Brave for me stopped blocking ads entirely.
The fix for this was adding the Ublock Origin Lite (yes, LITE) and ads are now blocked again.
For me its still very bad. In fact it got worse.
Now even with or without Brave Shield YouTube literally dies. I tried Ublock Origin Lite and it helps blocking ads, but since Brave doesn’t work with YT right now I can’t really use this advantage either.
This is happening for me as well on macOS for awhile now.
