Gonna need more info from you.

  1. What OS are you on? If you’re on desktop, can you turn hardware acceleration off and see if that works?
  2. What version of Brave are you on?

I’m on Windows 10 OS, and brave Version 1.25.72 Chromium: 91.0.4472.101 (Official Build) (64-bit).
I’ve tried by turning off hardware acceleration and that didn’t work.

Okay, I want you to try 2 things:

  1. Try doing this in Chrome and see how it works.
  2. Try doing this in a new profile, since your settings will be the default on a new profile.

This issue persists on chrome too, but not in mozilla firefox.

If that is the case, then it is a Chromium issue. As such, you will have to wait for an update on their end for this to be resolved.

I don’t usually watch videos in fullscreen, so I don’t really notice. I wasn’t on Windows when I saw this issue, but someone I know was, and he said that it lags very briefly for a moment while switching to fullscreen before going back to normal.

It appears to be a Chromium-specific issue. I accidentally found an extension that claims it resolves the issue.
