Youtube in Brave interrupting videos

On my IPad, while watching videos on YouTube, in the last few weeks they’ve interrupted the video each time an ad is supposed to appear and pause everything until that time is up. Prior to this, I had no problem with using Brave and YouTube where the ads were ignored and the video was not interrupted.
