YouTube Embedded Videos Fail To Load

For a few weeks, embedded videos on all sites just don’t load at all anymore and only return error codes 4 & 15 saying that they’re unavailable. They load with no login at all on an incognito window. Before these recent changes, this never happened to me at all. I attached two screenshots showing this and commented on another thread about this plus sent feedback to YouTube about this as well but we know they won’t answer back to anyone. If needed, I’m on Windows 7 and Brave version 1.47.186.

@HeathM makes a good point, though missed that you are also using Windows SEVEN therefore your most eligible up-to-date version of Brave… I doubt anyone is going to be able to help you with your operating system and therefore Brave version being that far outdated.

I’m guessing you already know this though and are holding out hope… maybe there is… so… good luck :man_shrugging:

Besides that though, I would just say (as the below article points out as well) using an unsupported operating system (and therefore apps) is quite risky due to all the vulnerabilites no longer being patched with security updates. I would assume the only reason you wouldn’t upgrade is financial though, so I’m sorry you’re having to deal with these issues and do wish you the best.

That’s correct. I can’t update past this point due to being a bit poor. I’ve made that clear when there was issues with the Shields in the past but they tend to update the things in a while afterward so it was just a matter of dropping them to avoid the crashes. This issue is a new one to me though and I have no other browser to test as Pale Moon is not usable with what we have on this PC anymore as well as many addons quit updating for it so I uninstalled it a long time ago. Firefox has so many problems now so it’s not worth the trouble. The vulnerabilities aren’t too big a deal as I have a great firewall and antivirus that being Comodo & Avast.

I also forgot to mention that I can still right click the embedded videos and copy the URL to another tab but it’s a pain to do that if I want to see something rather than just clicking the link to go straight to YouTube.

EDIT: It was an auto HD extension that caused this bug to occur and it’s been replaced with a different one so this can be closed now.

Done! Thank you for the support.
