YouTube age restricted videos not giving option to play

Description of the issue: YT videos with age restriction give you a warning screen before the video plays. This issue is that the video screen stays black with no options or functional controls.

When using Shields and no other extensions, the screen is black.

When using Shields and AdGuard, it gives the warning that the video is graphic, but no option to play.

When using no extensions or Shields, it works normally.

Did the issue present with default Shields settings? Yes

Does the site function as expected when Shields are turned off? Yes

Is there a specific Shields configuration that causes the site to break? If so, tell us that configuration. (yes/no): Yes, blocking scripts stops video pages from loading anything.

Does the site work as expected when using Chrome? Yes, but only if ad blocking extensions are disabled.

Tips regarding Brave Shields:

I have more success, with:

  • Brave Shields UP, but . . .
  • Either Allow All Cookies or Block 3rd Party Cookies, but NOT Blocking All Cookies
  • Allowing JavaScripts from specific sources, but NOT Allowing All JavaScripts
  • Trackers & Ads treatment: Aggressive (at first), and then incrementally relaxing that setting
  • Fingerprinting (aka footprinting) blocking: Strict (at first), and then incrementally relaxing that setting

I almost NEVER use:

  • All of Brave Shields UP
  • All of Brave Shields DOWN
