Yandex Games ads not blocked properly – blank ad container remains on screen

Description

When accessing Yandex Games, Brave Shields blocks the advertisement content, but the ad container itself is not removed. This results in a large blank/black area on the right side of the screen, negatively affecting the user experience and reducing usable screen space.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open Brave Browser (latest version)
  2. Ensure Shields are enabled (default settings)
  3. Go to Yandex Games
  4. Launch a game (e.g. Melon Sandbox)
  5. Observe the right side of the screen

Actual result

Ad content is blocked (appears as blank/black area)
Large unused space remains where the ad should be
Loading spinner may appear but no content loads
Page layout is broken / not responsive

Expected result

Ad container should be fully removed or collapsed
No empty or black space should remain
Game should use full available screen width

Miscellaneous information

This appears to be a cosmetic filtering issue. Brave Shields successfully blocks the ad request, but the ad container element is not removed or collapsed, leaving an empty/black space on the right side.

The issue is consistently reproducible on Yandex Games pages after launching a game.

Possible cause:
Missing or incomplete cosmetic filter for the ad container (likely a right-side banner container).

Example cosmetic filter (test/workaround):

(Note: Selectors may vary depending on the specific game page. These are generic examples and may need refinement.)

Workaround:
Adding a custom cosmetic filter via Brave Shields (Custom Filters) removes the empty container and restores proper layout.

No extensions are required to reproduce the issue. Occurs with default Shields settings.
