Why is "Start Dictation" Ghosted Only on Brave Browser? (Mac)

I just installed Brave a few days ago, and I noticed that the “Start Dictation” option in the drop-down menu is ghosted. Dictation works in my other applications, and I have not done anything to my Mac to exclude Brave from dictation. Any suggestions on how to un-ghost it?

Does Brave have a speech to text feature?

No, there is not a built in speech to text or text to speech feature in Brave. You would need an extension or some program for that. Keep in mind that text entry is usually through your device and not particular to any browser, assuming you do mean speech to text.
