location bar is centered, with blank space on either side.

No idea how to reproduce.
Because it’s the design and you have settings to use it like that? I mean, you can always go to brave://settings/appearance to enable Use wide address bar which would extend it through all of that space. But majority of people want the smaller bar, with it being more compact and easier to see.
