So i saw the button that can disable ads but without it my brave search already clean from ads. so i just curious what’s the purpose of this button…
@Davidhench Brave blocks ads due to Shields. So of course it won’t show. The button is there for people not using Shields. And eventually when they improve on the system, it would be for those who aren’t using Brave so they can get an ad free experience.
For now, it’s just something they have seemed to slip in as a method for people to contribute to Brave. You can sign up for the Search Premium just to give them money to continue building it. Otherwise, as you said, it doesn’t really make sense. I mean, it can only be used in Brave browser but the ads are already blocked. So yeah, just a weird thing.
