Western Digital Ads in blank tabs

Description of the issue:

Ads displayed in blank tabs, appears they are coming from the browser itself

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.

Open a tab

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):

No ads

Every few tabs

I use Brave to get away form ads and have all the crypto and rewards stuff turned off, Why is the browser itself inserting ad banners in blank tabs?

This is also happening to me.

Every fourth tab opened displays the Western Digital Logo. This is not acceptable.

Thanks for the info. I wasn’t aware of the new “feature”. I have turned them off.
