As a Brave desktop user who often creates and NAMEs multiple windows
I would like the NAME I apply to a window to persistently appear
in the space between the RELOAD icon and the BOOKMARK icon
so that I can more efficiently navigate amongst multiple windows.
Given I have an open window
When I have named the window
Then the window name should persistently appear between the RELOAD icon and the BOOKMARK icon
This small feature would improve user efficiency in operating the browser, especially as the day goes on and new tabs are opened.
Recently discovered the Name Window feature and it has been greatly helpful as someone juggling multiple profiles, MANY windows, and countless tabs within.
I was hoping there was an existing flag I could switch on in order to display the window name somewhere persistently. Haven’t seen one so far, so I’m replying in support of this. Example of why this is helpful: When switching desktops, seeing the window name at a glance would quickly and immediately let me know the context of that browser window.
The current methods I use to see a window’s name involve several clicks and/or looking for a small checkmark within a long list of names:
Main tool bar > Window > look for name with checkmark next to it to find name of currently active window.
On Mac, hover over application icon in the dock > right click Brave > look for name with checkmark next to it to find name of currently active window.
Hamburger menu in top right of browser > More Tools > Name Window
