Update error in rewards center preventing push ads, Your browser needs to be updated to continue seeing ads., Ubuntu 24

The following error is reported in my Brave rewards center:
”Your browser needs to be updated to continue seeing ads.”

I have forced an update using apt update && apt upgrade followed by restart, and do receive new page ads, just no longer receiving push notifications.

Settings > About Brave reports:
Brave 1.83.118 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Chromium: 141.0.7390.108

Settings does not prompt for further upgrade

running on Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS

Can you update to the latest version and let me know if you’re still experiencing an issue?

Currently, it’s at 1.85.111

I guess I dont know how to update further, settings usually prompts it but not currently

I have forced an update using apt update && apt upgrade followed by restart

This ended up resolving with full uninstall / re-install
