Unable to link Android Brave VPN subscription to Windows – receipt not found error

Hi everyone,

I have an active Brave Firewall + VPN subscription purchased via Google Play on my Android device. The VPN works properly on Android.

However, when I try to link or sync the subscription to my Windows PC, I keep getting this error:

“Whoops! We couldn’t link your purchase because your receipt details couldn’t be found. Please ensure you’re linking from the same device on which you made the purchase and try again. If this doesn’t correct the issue, please contact Brave support.”

I am:

  • Using the same Brave account

  • Linking from the original Android device where the purchase was made

  • Confirmed the subscription is active in Google Play

  • Already followed all the procedures in the Brave support guide

Despite this, the issue persists.

Has anyone experienced this before? Is there an additional step required to link an Android Google Play subscription to Windows?
