Unable to hide the bookmarks bar

Hi,
I tired hiding the bookmarks bar using both the keyboards shortcut and also from settings, however it still shows up.
I restarted the browser and I’m running the latest version.
What Operating System and Brave version are you using Windows 10, Version 1.24.82 Chromium: 90.0.4430.93 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Right click the bookmarks bar, and click Show Bookmarks. The bookmarks will still be shown in the New Tab, but no other locations.
