Ad-blocking technology is a cat and mouse game between content providers and ad-blockers. You could try more aggressive default shield settings or installing an extension like uBlock Origin but nothing can be guaranteed.
Brave default strict blocking not working with facebook. Ublock origin can block sponsored but I don’t like too much extension.
