UI disjointedness on tab hover

Description of the issue:

Since I introduced a third monitor to my workstation, hovering on tabs has caused their previews to turn up in the wrong place. However, I don’t know where the blame lies here.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. ??? Buy a third monitor?

  2. Arrange them like so, maybe?

  3. Observe the described:

Expected result: The tab preview lines up with the tab currently being hovered over.

Brave Version( check About Brave):

Additional Information:

It gets weirder!

Thanks for reaching out and for the detailed report.
Strange issue indeed. I have a similar 3 monitor setup and I’m not seeing this issue on my end. Can you tell me if you see this issue on all your monitors, or does this only occur on the one specific monitor?

Good question!

I moved the browser window to each monitor respectively, and the issue was repeatable across all three. I find myself questioning the significance of the third monitor now, but I would like to think I would’ve noticed if this was occurring previously…

Interesting. Can you confirm the Linux distro you’re using when you see this, and how you installed Brave initially (Snap, flatpak, curl)?

The distribution is CachyOS, and Brave was installed using pacman from one of the official CachyOS package repositories.

nothing else? @Mattches :c

Apologies for the long wait time here. Let me ping some of our Linux folks and see if they have any ideas on how to resolve this.

Curious to know if anything in this doc might shed some light on your issue? https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Multihead

Hi, I’m not entirely sure what I should be looking at in the article, nor am I sure if it is relevant at all - I’m all Wayland here, and the linked article appears to be X-specific.
